We are PROUD to say that our Senior Hip Hop Team, the Saberz, has earned an invitation to the Worlds Competition in 2010 (for the second consecutive year).!!

During our inaugural year in 2006, we began to develop and grown a vibrant and dynamic Hip Hop dance program. In our third year, the 2008-2009 season, our dancers surpassed even our most cherished hopes and dreams by earning an invitation to the 2009 Dance Worlds Competition in Orlando, Florida, and in 2010 they earned an invitation for the second consecutive year. This prestigious international competition is an elite event in which only the best dance crews in the world are invited to compete. We are very proud to say that we are the first dance crew in Missouri to be invited to this event, and the only to be invited twice. 

We are even prouder to say that in our first year at the Dance Worlds Competition, our Senior Hip Hop Dance Squad, the Saberz, advanced to finals and earned 15th place in the World. 
 
So, you may have only recently become aware of us, but we have a firm foundation to claim to be the best hip hop dance crew in the St. Louis Metropolitan area.

The Saberz earned their invitation to Worlds at the Jamfest Dance Super Nationals in Cincinnati in February
They are the first dance team in Missouri to earn this prestigious award, and the only dance team to earn it in two consecutive years!!
 

  Our Hip Hop Head Coach & Choreographer

 How did we develop the best Hip Hop Dance squads in the St. Louis Area?  It's simple. It's our leadership.

 

Fernando Brown, Hip Hop Head Coach & Choreographer 

Fernando is one of the charter members of the Cheer Legendz coaching staff and holds a degree in Music & Performing Arts.  Fernando is our Hip Hop Head Coach and Chief Dance Choreographer and, under his leadership, these teams have won multiple regional, national, and grand national titles (see also our Awards page for details). In 2006, Fernando was recognized by American Cheerleading Magazine as one of the top young coaches in the nation. In 2009 he earned a National Dance Association Innovative Choreography Award for the Saberz choreography. His coaching excellence extends beyond dance as he also coaches the Cheer Legendz Senior Level 5 Co-Ed Cheerleading squad that earned an invitation to the 2008, 2009 and 2010 Cheerleading World Competitions.  He truly is a Legend.

   In the 2010-2011 season, our program has grown again! 

 We have3 Hip Hop Dance squads for girls and boys ages 6  to 18:

Tigerz ~ Youth Hip Hop for ages 6 to 11

Lynx ~ Junior Hip Hop for ages 12 to 14

Saberz ~ Senior Hip Hop for ages 15 to 18
